Day 69. Sleek Make Up iDivine Storm palette [Review & Swatches]

Today is all about one of my favorite palette from SleekMakeUp: the iDivine Storm Palette.

Keep reading for swatches and more information!

The iDivine Storm palette includes 3 matte shades and 9 bright shimmery ones.

Sleek MakeUp iDivine Storm palette

This palette is very versatile: the first line are all neutral, day-appropriate shade; the second line of eyeshadows is darker, and can be used for dramatic looks.

All the colors have a soft texture, especially the shimmer shades. Like all the Sleek palettes, the shades are a little powdery.

Swatches for the Sleek MakeUp iDivine Storm palette

In the pictures you'll see two eyeshadows in the pan, followed by the swatches taken in natural light and with flash. For each eyeshadow, you'll see a top swatch with the eyeshadow applied on Urban Decay Primer Potion and a bottom one with the eyeshadow applied directly on skin.

Let's start from the first two eyeshadows on the left.

The top shade is a soft shimmery brown. The bottom shade is a warm metallic brown with red undertones. Both shades are very soft and buttery and apply very well.

Second shades are a shimmery champagne color and a metallic grey.

The application is easy for both, but the color payoff for the light shade is just not there: you just see the shimmer. This would make it appropriate highlighter color or to brighten the eye.

In the third line from the left we have a soft matte beige brown shade and metallic forest green grey color.
The matte shade is a perfect naked color, perfect to even out the eyelid color. It's a bit powdery and may need a few swipe of color to reach full opaque color.
The second shade is really more gray than it appears in the pan: the forest green is mainly visible in the shimmer in the right light conditions. It's a very powdery shade, it works better over a primer as it stops it from sliding right off or fall out.

Next are a shimmery gold color and a purple blue shade.

Both shades are smooth and buttery and blend easily. The purple blue shade looks more purple in the pan than it does on the skin. This shadow also applies so much better with a primer.

Second to last are a shimmery pink and a dark matte brown shades.

The pink shade is cool toned and very metallic. The matte brown is a cool toned brown: this eyeshadow is a bit of a pain to work with because it is very stiff and difficult to apply. It does not apply evenly, and the coverage is not perfect at all: it definitely needs the help of a primer to show up consistently on the skin.

Last are a shimmery burgundy color and a matte black shade.
Oops the pan picture colors are really off! Sorry!
The burgundy shade is definitely a solid shade: pigmented, soft and easy to apply. It can use a primer to help with the coverage.
The matte black is an ok shade, a bit inconsistent and patchy, a bit sheer.

I really love this palette because it's very versatile, and most of the shades are easy to work with. I always use a primer to make my eyeshadows last so I cannot say how these eyeshadow would perform without primer. With primer I get a full day of wear.

As all the Sleek palette, the Storm is a solid eyeshadow palette with an excellent value for money.
